09-11-2010

Renouned Swiss adventurer Yves Rossy who famously used his jetpack to cross the English Channel was back yesterday using an updated model of his winged jetpack to a few arial loops after jumping from a hot air balloon 2.4kms from the surface.

Testing his new, more aerodynamic bodied jetpack Rossy flew for 18 minutes and completing a few stunts before landing. A statement on his website read:

"He flew a few minutes to stabilise his wing and find the optimal angle to begin two loopings."

"The flight went well, despite a little problem when starting my engines. I was able to do my two loopings and I am very happy."

Rossy covered over 35kms in just 10minutes, flying at speeds close to 200km/h.
