National Hot Air Balloon Championship 2011

First held in 1988, The National Hot Air Balloon Championships are the premier event on the hot air ballooning calendar.

The 2011 event will be held by Graham and Jan Kerr from Balloon Joy Flights at the Toms Waterhole winery, who also hosted the inaugural Canowindra Challenge earlier in the year.

Around 30 balloons are expected to compete over two weekends starting Easter school holidays and finishing 4 days prior to Easter 2011.

“The biggest challenge for Canowindra with the hosting of this national event will be accommodating all the Championship people, as well as those here for the Canowindra Challenge and the spectators.”
